About Us

Digital Application Design is a small software developer based in the North West of England operated by Steve Monks, a games programmer with over 25 years of industry experience.

Starting as a bedroom programmer Steve released his first game way back in 1985 and has subsequently gone on to perform key programming roles on many successful AAA products across a variety of platforms. Career highlights include programming roles on Lego Star Wars, Sonic Gems, Toy Story 2, EF2000 and the unfortunately named Wargasm - a forerunner to modern battlefield genre. A full list of titles and roles can be found below.

Outside of the games industry, Steve has also developed software for numerous applications including a Virtual Rostrum Camera, a Video Titler and a popular WinAmp plugin to bypass Windows Kernel Mixer allowing audiophile quality sound reproduction on a Windows PC.
